About CESI

Founded in 1958, CESI is a French institution of higher education specializing in engineering and technological innovation. Its mission is to equip students with strong scientific and technical competencies while fostering creativity, innovation, and leadership. CESI seeks to respond to the evolving needs of industry by preparing graduates capable of addressing the complex and rapidly changing challenges of the engineering profession. With 26 campuses across France, a robust network of industrial partnerships, more than 150 partner universities worldwide and an active student community of 26,000 learners, CESI offers an academic environment that promotes excellence, collaboration, and global engagement. The institution distinguishes itself through its innovative pedagogical approach, placing project-based learning at the core of its educational model. This methodology enables students to engage in demanding, real-world engineering projects that develop their analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills—preparing them to become adaptable and responsible professionals in a globalized context.
International week
The CESI International Week aims to foster academic exchange, share innovative teaching practices, and strengthen partnerships with universities worldwide. Guest professors play a key role in bringing international perspectives to our students and in developing future collaborations in research and education.
From 18 to 22 May 2026, the Nancy and Strasbourg campuses will welcome professors from universities around the world. Each year, more than a hundred students from the first and third years take part in the event. In addition to engineering and computer science courses, we also invite professors from management, humanities, and social sciences. The objective is to offer students an international learning experience through courses taught in English, enhancing their knowledge and skills while encouraging them to pursue student exchange programs or double degrees at our partner universities.
For our guest professors, this week will be an opportunity to engage with the CESI community, discover our project-based learning approach, explore our research activities, and discuss potential collaborative projects for the future.
